Jab we met

untitled
We met at a boring office party a couple of years back. She was the boss’ wife. I had just moved into town. Pleasantries were exchanged. Cocktails were sipped. And we chatted away till the bar shut down You don’t do that with everyone.
We spoke about work and life, made karaoke and travel plans, shared secrets on shopping, weight loss and what not. You don’t do that with everyone.
A blog was born. And we had the chance to work together. We exchanged notes on fashion and writing, shared ideas and passions. You don’t do that with everyone.
We changed jobs, shifted cities, but still kept in touch. Met up when we could. Shopped, drank, talked, laughed, even accomplished DIYs on Skype. You don’t do that with everyone.
We switched jobs and moved cities again. (Husbands!) The irony – she was in my city and I was in hers. And then she graciously invited me to be a part of her blog. You don’t do that with everyone.

Thanks, N. Can’t wait to start Joos-ing!
